So don’t be anxious about tomorrow. God will take care of your tomorrow too. Live one day at a time.” Matthew 6:34
DON’T BE ANXIOUS
The Year 2012 is here and there are new beginnings coming our way. We have left the past year and all its happenings behind. We will never live them over.
I am an anxious person and how I wish I was not. Over the years I have gotten better as my faith has grown, but there still is that little part of me that hangs on to misery.
Misery comes to us from the darkness, not the light. We all must learn to put that miserable darkness out of our lives. Easier said than done, that is for sure!
We are human and along with being human we have family issues, bickering, hurting each other with words and actions, lying, deceiving, you name it, it happens.
Oh for the “wonderful life” of fictional families where everything always turns out in the end and all is well, everyone is loved, forgiven, taken back into the family fold. My, oh my, if that was only true!
So we fret, we are anxious about family, friends, trusting, job, no job, will I loose my job, will I loose my house, the list is endless when we start to become anxious.
There is only one thing we can do about the coming New Year and that is to GIVE UP BEING ANXIOUS . How can we possibly give up being anxious? Well, the answer to that is the above Scripture, Matthew 6:34. God will truly take care of our tomorrow, so DO live just one day at a time!
Faith comes into play here and that is what we must have in order to live the "not anxious business." Wow, it is hard, let me tell you, or rather, you probably already know.
We had today, we may have messed up or it may have been a perfect day. We must either ask God to help us do better tomorrow or thank Him for this glorious day. Whichever conversation you find yourself having with God, is the right thing to do. He wants to hear from you.
AND, if you talk with Him, He will answer, again, always HIS TIMING, NOT YOURS, and show you how to “clean up your act,” or share your happiness of such a beautiful day. Never get impatient!
So, as we begin the New Year, do not look back with sadness, instead just live Jan 1, 2, 3, etc, daily. Each day is a new beginning, if you mess up on the 1st, God gives you the 2nd, 3rd and etc.
However, remember time is short, we never know when He will call us home, so please don’t waste time fretting, fighting, talking about others, badly, or any other really “DARK” thing we humans can do! Wake up, yes, you may hurt, you may be in the hospital, you may be in a war zone, you may be homeless, you may be anything. Just LIVE TODAY WITH FAITH!
There is hope, by talking with God, to live day to day. Just love, forgive, pray, hope, smile, sing, and smell the aromas of the different seasons. Let yourself feel the snow, the rain, and the sun upon you. Let your heart sing with joy just because you are alive, and, remember someone, somewhere loves you. You never know how you affect another person, so let the love of life shine through you, to others.
It is hard to “shine” when we are “anxious.” So, make a big effort to live DAY TO DAY this New Year of 2012.
Happy and a Blessed New Year to you and your families.
Love and
I remain His humble servant,
