A Tribute to Darlene

Darlene Osborne, editor and publisher of the Christian Online Magazine has known for a long time that when God calls you to do something He makes a way for you to accomplish His will. Now as she finds herself writing more and more, searching and seeking, creating her own web design and so much more, I am sure there are times she looks back and senses a greater zeal and love for this One who has laid it upon her heart to move forward in Christian ministry and service. I believe strongly that life is both interesting and challenging for the one who lives in Jesus Christ, knowing she is a vessel molded for His purpose and will.

God has many open doors awaiting this magnificent sister in Christ.

Darlene’s leadership throughout the years is a tribute to the unique value of lives given totally to God in love and expressed in generous service to His people. While our relationship has been totally virtual for a number of years, I have been privileged to witness and appreciate the extraordinary vision, dedication and commitment she so highly values. Despite challenges and sacrifices of every kind, I find that Darlene serves in a spirit of untiring selflessness, generosity and charity.

A person I dearly love once said to me, "Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom." Darlene wants all of us to blossom in our Christian service; she seeks out the realm of all possibilities and encourages us to stretch beyond all we ever thought we could do. To her, it is all about being truly rooted in Christ; she wants our focus to be on glorifying Him rather than following trends or lifting ourselves up. She is blessed with the insight to see the needs of others and will reach out in compassion and understanding even when they, themselves, cannot reach out and ask for help.

We thank you for the opportunities you have given and continue to give us, Darlene, as we ourselves lift our hearts and voices in praise to our Lord.

A special tribute to a special lady,
A splash of praise to her indeed;
For she is a lovely friend to all …
A friend to all in time of need.

Her professional, yet kind demeanor
Sets the example we all might explore;
She lifts her hands through the one God
Jehovah … the Mighty One we all adore.

Thank you for giving to the Lord, Darlene.
Thank you for giving us that opportunity too.
Thank you for your sweet leadership …
We are very proud of you!
