Lord, Thank You
by Randy Mumford
Lord, thank You for all You’ve given me,
Thank You for all You’ve done for me.
For all the times You’ve been near,
And told me not to fear.
Thank You for Your love and care.
When I didn’t even know You were there.
For the times You’ve held me close.
When I needed You the most.
Thank You for every gift and blessing,
When my life was so distressing.
You always saw a way,
To let me make it one more day.
There’s no other love so true,
As the love I’ve found in You.
You always say and do,
What it takes to get me through.
Thank You for each brand new day,
And for the times I stop to pray.
For list'ning to each request,
And giving me Your best.
Thank You for seeing me,
Through eyes that only see,
The beauty of Your Son,
In each and every one.
I’m just a poor sinner.
Not a loser nor a winner.
But it’s not a case of winning,
For You forget about my sinning.
As far as East is from the West,
You put my sins and fears to rest.
Nevermore to bring them up,
Or make me drink that cup.
My soul belongs to You,
Heart, mind, and body too.
Use them as You see fit,
Let me never, ever quit.
As long as I have life,
Through tears, and toil, and strife.
Let me live so others see,
The joy You’ve given me.
No, my life’s not perfect,
But knowing You is worth it.
Just keep my place there waiting,
At Your call no hesitating.
I'll come with eager eyes.
To see those heav'nly skies.
I’ll praise Your holy name.
And I’ll never be the same.
There’ll be no more tears nor pain,
No more worry nor strife.
I’m so glad You put my name,
In “The Lamb’s Book of Life”.
