Some times our life is full of distractions that can pull us away from our secret place, kneeling and praying at the feet of our Lord.
When you do, don't be surprised if the Lord allows some thing to happen in your life that will bring you to your knees.
We need to also recognize that we do not understand everything there is to know about God. Matter of fact we know very little about God.
Remember too, the enemy will try to cloud our vision, distract us from our path in life and make the Lord less clearer, less omnipotent, less merciful than we know He truly is.
Don't be discouraged if you don't feel close to Him as you once did. . Hold fast to the glorious promise we have been given that because we know Him, love Him and acknowledge Him as the Lord of our life. It doesn't matter how close or how far we may feel from our Savior, we will one day see Him face to face in all His glory!
For God, my friend, does not move away from us. If we are not near Him, it is because we have gone so fast in life we have allowed ourselves to be distracted and have permitted ourselves to be drawn away from Him.
So go to Him in prayer, study His precious word, sing a song of praise to Him and begin to feel yourself drawing nearer to Him once again.
"In the same way, we can see and understand only a little about God now, as if we were peering at his reflection in a poor mirror, but someday we are going to see him in his completeness, face to face" (1 Corinthians 13:12, TLB).
Father: Thank you for always being there and waiting for me to draw nearer to you. Even when I can't see your face, I know and trust you are always there. Even, when you have to get my attention I trust Father that you will lead and direct my path and I am anticipating that glorious time when I will see you face to face. In Jesus name, Amen
